Personal comments The last comic exercice of this year deals with the world of the alter-globalisation, more precisely the story of a young activist who's motivated to participate on a demonstration two days later. The comic is made of three pages. The style is semi-realistic/humorous, with simple outlines to make this page an ideal work for CGing. I have no clear opinion on the quality of the story, but I hope you'll have a little fun to read it. Even a little tiny fun...
Page 1 The first page is rather laborious to read because there's a lot of text that's setting the situation, the characters and their personality, and communication on some real recent facts... I haven't exactly exerted myself on the quality of the drawing style, mainly because I didn't want to spend too much time on inking this page, but the characters could be better drawn. I really wanted to make something simple but you'll discover soon that I haven't kept my promise on the next two pages...
Page 2 An antiglobalization demonstration is always lively, this is why I wanted to pull out all the stops so as to retranscribe this excitement. The drawing of the characters are better than the first page. The first panel contains enough chars in action that we can dwell on a moment on it, just to see who does what...but don't find Waldo, I haven't drawn him ^_~ The big bold words all around the comic are the lyrics of an Italian song named "Bella Ciao": you can listen to an extract of it by downloading this zip file : http://membres.lycos.fr/amisay/Misc/bellaciao.zip I've heard this song by watching a documentary on an antiglobalization demonstration that took place in Genoa in 2002.
The small details in the panels: (hghlight with the cursor to read the solutions)
Page 3 This page is faster and easier to read because less overloaded and more action. The small details in the panels (it's an obsession with me!)
