Amended Diagnosis

« Small Actinoporella species with an articuled main axis bearing close-set whorls; branches consisting of a vestibule followed by a vesicular to short club-shaped secondary and surrounded by an open pore on one side of the whorl and an "excrescence" on the opposite side; vesicular secondaries perpendicular to the main axis and closed at their distal part; calcareous sheath consisting of microgranular calcite wall with common occurrence of translucent fibrous calcite layer inward (in relation to epitaxial overgrowth). » (GRANIER 1995).
