Another big Update of the Track Editor !
Lots of bug have been fixed, and new features have been added.
You now have a lot of options when importing 3D models, so that you can easily design a row of trees or an alley of buildings that all look different from their neighbour ;)
The program is now quite stable and runs pretty smoothly, try it and load the example track to see for yourself !

With this new version of Track Editor, the RaceShip Project can now move on again. Check our 'RaceShip Project Website' out, a new version of our race game is about to be released, featuring fine looking tracks :p

I have updated the PC programming section.

Perticularly, I added a page on a new program 'Sphere Collider'. It's a physics simulation, which handles sphere collisions in an user defined background.
Have a look at the page, you can download the program as well as a report on it, which gives explanation on the algorithms I used...

Sorry, it 's just appeared that I've completly messed up with the 'Links' and 'me' pages. When I clicked on those pages one hour ago I felt so dumb ;) Now everything is functionnal hopefully !

Apart from that, I may plan to write a tutorial about mode7 engine programming. To see a mode7 engine in action, have a look at the animated screenshot below !
Let me know if you would be somehow interested in this tutorial.

Two weeks ago I decided to make a Formula one type of game with Mode7 Engine... I had a hard time to get all the sprites in all the directions, but now at last it's done :)
Now the next big thing will be to implement AI !

Also, I added a Links page at last, not yet complete but I'm thinking of it ...

New features in my Mode7 demo : there are now 3D items along the road !

Depending on my time, I plan to program a whole race game ( MarioKart, IndyCar or Formula1 ) with this engine.

Two weeks ago I started to learn Assembly 68K, as a result :

A mode 7 demo for TI89 with rendering routines in ASM :) Features :

~12 fps in high resolution on TI89 HW2 ( 55 * 128 pixels )

~21 fps in low resolution on TI89 HW2 ( 15 * 128 + 20 * 64 pixels )

An important step in my programming activity : I've released most of the source code of my TI games and programs : have a look at my Source Code page . Some of these sources have never been released before, such as Gran Tourismo or Prince of Persia ones.
Some sources haven't been updated yet, but it should be done quickly.

I wanted to do that since I know that I won't program much for TI68K anymore, as I've now started PC programming. I may fix some bugs, and release some minor updates, but I don't think I'll start a new TI project ... So it's time to say I have really enjoyed TI programming, and to thank all the people that have helped me, all the users that have encouraged me !

So here are the updates I've promised ;)

The site's design has been slightly changed, and many pages have been changed or uploaded !

- The PC section is up : you can download the first version of my Track Editor, as well as its source code !
- I've added my TI 3D tutorials, as well as my TI Pictures
- I've added a page that will contain the code source of my TI programs : just wait a few days before everything is complete ...
- Last but not least, I added the 'Me' page, which describes my very very passionating hobbies and interests ;)

Wow, I've never wrote such a long news : more changes in this last week than in 2 years ;)

At last I've decided to update this site a bit ! I want to add several things related with TI programming while I have the time :

- Update all my programs with their latest versions
- Add the code source of all of them
- Add a page on my basic Game Final Fantasy Alternative ( quick review here )

And I would like to add a page dealing with my PC programming too. By the way, you can have a look at our 'RaceShip Projetc Website' , which is under huge construction ;)

Just a little piece of news to explain my inactivity regarding TI programming :)

First, I'm currently in an Engineer School and I have not much time left to program.
Then as a School Project ( 'Acte d'Entreprendre' :), I have chosen with two other students to develop a PC game with OpenGL....

It is a race game with aircrafts, just like in WipeOut. You will have possibilty to buy new parts for your ship, and we would like the Game to be optimized for newtwork gameplay !
A site dedicated to the project will appear soon, on the left you can see a tiny screenshot.
Stay tuned for more news about it !
