Lebanon

Byblos is situated 40 kilometers north of Beirut. It is one of the oldest cities in the world (5000 years BJC). It was one of the main cities in the region during the Phoenician period. It was dominated respectively by Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Crusaders, Mamelukes and Turks.
