Sandyachting is not a simple play. Like all the " mechanical " sports, it comprises a share of risks which appears negligible if the practise follow the great principles of security given by the Federation, the persons in charge of Clubs and the organizers of competitions.

To check the quality of your hardware:the hull, the mast, the axle, wheels.

Equip you correctly: the helmet is obligatory in competition, but also in leisure. The wearing of glasses is advised in order to avoid the burns of spray or sand projection. A boiler suit which enables you to be hot and to remain with dryness is advised.

Take an insurance: the fact of being laid off offers the guarantee of an insurance to you

Make a recognition on the beach and locate the best passages not to run any risk, neither for you, nor for your hardware.

Check the authorizations: the practice of sandyachting can be regulated on the territory, inform you near the Clubs.

For the practice leisure and of competition some essential rules are to be respected:

FACE TO FACE

Presentation of face: when two sandyachting are presented face to face, they must both deviate towards the line so as to leave a space sufisant between them.

CROSSING

When two sandyachting carry out secant roads, that coming from right-hand side at the priority. The nonpriority sandyachting must deviate or slow down. To force priority to modify its road or to slow down to avoid a fixing is an infringement.

OVERTAKING

Engagement : the overtaking is finished as soon as there is more than two meters between the ends of the sandyachting catching up with and is caught up with.

Release : the overtaking is finished as soon as there is more than two meters between the ends of the sandyachting catching up with and is caught up with.

Responsibility for the operation : the catching up with sandyachting takes the responsability for the operation.

Caught up with : the caught up with sandyachting must in straight line maintain its course or deviate and in turn to carry out a normal operation. However, the caught up with sandyachting has the right to carry out a turn when it meets an obstacle.
