Hi!

This is Manuel Jehkul (Lutra) from PREDICTION.

I`d like to thank Karsten Obarski for the wonderful computer music world he
opened us. I`d also like to thank the StarbreezeTeam for FT2. I am now
tracking since 1995 and it was always a nice thing. Music is very important
for me and tracking is a great way to catch my ideas. Now PREDICTION our
group is online you can find it at:

Many thanks go to all our fans and fellow trackers outthere!
Sincerely

Manuel Jehkul AKA Lutra

I can't imagine how my life would be different without tracking.
I think it was one of the primary reasons I chose music as a professional
career. Thanks to ModEdit in the early PC days, using the same classic
sounds we all know and love, I was able to create music with a melody,
chords, and even percussion. I was hooked right away, and the love has
never died. Now I'm working on a solo album, a music degree, and a
tracker of my own, and I owe it all to a few people that I've never
even met - thanks to Obarski for the original idea, thanks to whomever
it was who coded modEdit and started the PC music scene, and many
thanks go out to Future Crew, and Jeffrey Lim for Impulse Tracker...

Hello!
This is Andreas Viklund from the Swedish group Lagoona (previously called
TSEC). I am, just like many others, a tracker by heart and I'd like to thank
Mr. Obarski for starting up the tracking wave. I'd also like to thank all
other tracker programmers, especially Triton/Starbreeze, cuz I believe that
FastTracker was what really brought attention to the PC tracking scene.
Thank you all, now it's up to everyone to keep the scene alive... =)

Digital music started with computer games, where you couldn't make huge
music databases where disks were not cheap... Most have chosen the
Tracker format... Those people became trackers... they are great they
should be respected... But now agh(!) it has popularized and it now
includes lot's of text... it is contaminated... we cannot compress it
well now... I still live in those old times... Let's fight back, let's
make sure that the e-world stays clear and digital... that's my world...
I'm a tracker... I'm GTSC4 and I keep my trax at
http://www.united-trackers.com/. I always wanted to ask him on how did
he feel about music being word-less, I like it this way... WAY THE GO!!!

Hi,
I recently came across the KO tribute site, and I was amazed.
I thought no one even remembered him!
I have spent 10 years in the Amiga and PC demoscene, and the thing that
got me into the scene was the legendary Soundtracker.
Growing up in the Demo and Tracking Scene is a phenomenon what will
never again be possible, and I want to thank Mr. Obarski for this
unforgettable experience. With his program, he created a way of life. It
was indeed interesting times.

My Amiga is really tired, unplunged, and probably dying now, but Amiga tunes & great
excitement taken from the demo scene will be kept as some of my most delicious
memories of my teenage years ! These years were increadibly fruitful for artistic creation,
and raised the Amiga to the status of brilliant tool for artists to express themselves. That
was a reason for its success, and for teenagers' eyes (that Nzo and I were) shine.
We owe you these dream times, Karsten, because just like Dan da Silva who wrote
Deluxe Paint, you have opened a giant door.
Nzo has always been a great painter (from the age of 9 when I first met
him !), he's also become a brilliant musician in the early 90's, and he's still
composing today. Thanks to you Karsten !
Hope you'll contact us some day, so that we could offer you a beer
and a nice french dinner.
