The 28 april 1789, two months before the french revolution, one part of the crew of the frigate HMS Bounty revolt against the captain and set him adrift in the longboat with 18 men. The particular destiny of the mutineers whose descendants are today settled in Pitcairn island, the heroic trip of the captain Bligh and his faithfuls, and the many movies have engraved this story in people's memory...

The main part of this site is in french : on each page I have translated the introduction and the summary. Some pages are completely translated, but the mutiny story is always in French

Little by little I will translate my site so as to offer two versions : French and English... I hope you will excuse me :-)

On the beginning of 8334 km...

You'll find on this site the story of the Bounty, from the preparing of the ship to the present repercussions.

I will introduce the characters of this story to you : the crew, Tahiti and Pitcairn islands and the breadfruit, whom harvesting should have been the main goal of the trip...

I will speak of the the ship. The frigate HMS Bounty of the XVIII century, but also of the two current replicas, always sailing. We will see the longboat, a major element of this story !

I will show you some photos of models : the model of the Bounty that I am building, the model made by Patrick Lecert, and some photos of others Bounty models...

A page bibliography display books on the Bounty, on the naval modelism, on naval history, and informations on the movies.

In a classical way, I give some links to Bounty or ship modeling related sites.

A page will permit us to take contact by e-mail.Do NOT hesitate as this is the real goal of this site : to contact and share this passion or simple sympathy messages

The last page should help you to navigate within this site : you'll found a map of the site.
