On entering the gîte, guests walk into a cozy living room where they
can snuggle up by the fireplace for a romantic evening, a good book
and a glass of wine, or get a taste of France television.
Adjacent to the living room is a small, practical kitchen with all the
amenities: electric stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, electric
coffee maker, toaster, and refrigerator.
From the hallway leading off from the kitchen are two bedrooms and a
bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed from the East Indies and the
other has two batten twin beds. The exposed beams in the ceiling are
from the original 18th century constructions. The modern bathroom ( in
the French style with the toilet in a separate room from the sink and
shower) includes a jetted shower for the optimum in relaxing showers.
Stairs by the front door lead to the second floor where the master
bedroom and a second bathroom are found. The spacious master
bedroom has a double bed and desk. The wood grained ceiling and
beams complement the pastoral charm. The upstairs bathroom also has
a jetted shower, a perfect prelude to enjoying a glass of wine in front of
the fire downstairs.
As in all Gîte de France locations, housekeeping is the responsibility of
the guest. Housekeeping services are available for an additional fee
(either during you stay or to clean after you leave). The house is
equipped with coin-operated, radiant electric heaters (less expensive
and more efficient than convection heaters). For the convenience of
guests, firewood is available for an extra charge.
