Maiana's web site

I am a young editor/writer/director, who still believes that we, humans, can change the world for the better.

Born in Bayonne, France, from Uruguayan parents, I've been travelling the world (and the seven seas...) for many years , trying to find my place, to fulfill my dreams and follow the mission I imposed on myself: to be true, to fight for the truth to be known on matters such as Human rights violations, and for the social justice still to be obtained.

I started my work with my own family, in a documentary, "Secretos de Lucha", Secrets of the struggle, that tells my search to recover the memory of what had happened to my parents and my aunts and uncles, during the dark years of the Uruguayan dictatorship, in the seventies.

I finally decided to update my old "professional" web site (which was hosted here by multimania, and used to present my education, my work experience in film-making as a script writer, director and editor, my aims and projects). A new website, www.maianab.com, is soon going to be available, with a complete new look. It will be available in English, Spanish and French.

As for the even older part of this website, From Sydney to Cairns, and Trip in Victoria, which told stories about my trips to Australia, well, I'll see if I find a room for them somewhere.
