They can be used to create any real-world object, like a mountain or a cloud, provided it doesn't correspond to a simple geometric shape. These fractals can be expressed in mathematical terms, allowing an entire image to be recorded as repeated patterns. This can reduce the file size to 1/100th of a pixellated version. (This format is better of jpg becouse zoom to 100/200% not reduce resolution) FIF = Immagini in formato frattale Nulla a che vedere con i comuni frattali ma bensi' e' un formato grafico che usa la geometria frattale x comprimere le immagini. Puo' essere usato su qualsiasi immagine del mondo reale ... Utiliza la tecnica matematica della ricostruzione degli spazi attigui E puo ridursi quindi notevolmente fino a raggiungere un rapporto di compressione 1/100.
