This tool allow you to play Chess engine match between Lokasoft Engine Research Tool and Chessbase GUI, (ChessTiger 15 vs Fritz 7).

How to do that: Download Ertcb.zip and unzip it in a new folder in Chessbase Engines directory ( ex: C:\Program Files\ChessBase\Engines\ertcb).

In Chessbase GUI, install a new UCI engine:

• Engine->Create UCI engine

• Browse... and choose the file Wb2Uci.exe in the ErtCB folder.

• OK

In Lokasoft ChessPartner install a new winboard engine:

• Extra->Engine import wizard...

• Select Winboard/UCI engine

• Install

• Select the file fromCB.exe in the ErtCB folder.

• open

• Type a name (ErtCB is a good choice)

• next

• Engine protocol=Winboard 1 and all options=NO

• Next and Finish

You are ready to play an engine match:

Run the great Lokasoft Engine Research Tool. Add ErtCB engine and an other like ChessTiger 15 (with + ). The first you add will have white. Select level and parameters.

Run ChessbaseGUI.Select File->New->Engine match...Add ERT/CB link engine with no book an an other engine like Fritz 7. The ErtCB engines in the 2 GUI (Lokasoft and Chessbase) must have different color. Click on OK. Return in Engine Research Tool and click on GO. That's all.

For the moment, my tools can't play more than one game per match ! Sorry.

ErtCBcmd tool allow you to send any winboard command to ERT/CB engines.

The 2 ERT/CB engines (fromCB.exe and fromERT.exe), send to GUI the command they find in cmd file (fromCB.cmd and fromERT.cmd). ErtCBcmd write in this file the command you give to it. This can help you, when one engine seems not to respond to GUI.

You must use last fromERT.exe and fromCB.exe files (31/12/02) to use ErtCBcmd tool.
