Surf excurtions and satys in the land of the berber people, Taghazout - Morocco
The Imaziren offers the perfect holiday retreat. The guesthouse is situated 3km from Taghazout in the small hamlet of Ait Bihi, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. It is a very short drive from and a pleasant 30min walk from the bustle of the village. This setting makes it ideal for those who look for a real change of scenery, it is very quiet and peaceful and you can really feel the intimacy of the country and its inhabitants. Close by there are loads of beautiful walks into the moutains and surrounding countryside. Being set back from the village, the area is not frequented by many tourists so you are assured of tranquillity and a really authentic Moroccan atmosphere while still having easy access to everywhere. The Imaziren provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for you and your friends to kick back at the end of a great day surfing and swap stories about waves and enjoy some genuine Moroccan cuisine over a few drinks. We also have a house right on the beach front in Taghazout, which we use as a board store and base for the days surfing, and youre more than welcome to stay down there for the night and catch the early waves on a dawn patrol if you prefer to rise with the beach on your door step. The Imaziren is a comfortable, spacious and clean fusion of modern comforts and traditional style. It includes 3 double rooms ( with space for a possible third person in each) and a dorm style room for up to 6 people, all overlooking the terraced patio area, which is ideal for barbeques and lazing around in the sunshine. The living room area is very comfortable and the kitchen large and ideal for cooking up Moroccan delights should you wish to try your hand at cooking. We will cook a mixture of Moroccan and English food to suit all pallets, using local fresh produce, served up over lamp and candlelight and once a week do a fresh fish barbeque on the beach. In the evenings we can organise candlelight soirees with entertainment from traditional Berber musicians.
