Welcome !

Welcome to Wilwarin's Web Flower. This site is made of 2 main parts:

The first one, rather personal, constitutes the Web Flower itself and is dedicated to language ; to committed works especially, all those that call to an instant of reflexion ; to lyrical poetry and to the romantics whole specially ; to all the ones who know, but though still love the world enough to marvel sometimes while hoping to see it change...
This part exists in english, in french, and in an english "light" version which contains less pictures, has no animated gifs, no Realaudio background music and no java applets.

The second is dedicated to DragonRealms, an online roleplaying game where I spend most of my time on the net. The connection that binds the essences of a roleplaying game and a site dedicated to language not being obvious a priori, I'll take a second to explain.
The difference between roleplaying games around a table and those online are too fundamental to allow any comparaison (to begin with the fact the first ones always require a minimum of organization, and are consequently similar to evenings between friends, whereas the second ones have at any time of the day or night a couple thousand people ready to meet you and play with you).
However, the online roleplaying games have two major families among their ranks. Those with a graphical interface, and those with a text interface. Basically, none is better than the other. It all depends if you prefer the "roleplaying" side or the "game" side. The difference is the same as the one existing between a book and its adaptation to television. The text interface offers infinitely more possibilities to roleplaying (because the language and your imagination are the only limits to what can be done, and not the number of pre-programmed actions of a character moving in a scenery someone else imagined for you), which makes them very close to a role playing game around a table.
As you certainly guessed it, I prefer the text interface, and DragonRealms is a masterpiece of the kind.

Wilwarin is also the webmaster of The Order of the Water Lily. This order, created and run by players is dedicated to enhancing RolePlaying and represtented in DragonRealms by some of the most popular roleplayers in the realms.
